After the disappointment of cancelled shows in Stornoway last weekend, Artie Trezise and his Singing Kettle (pictured) have pulled out all the stops to name a new date.
And there’s a bonus for anyone who missed tickets the first time round, as an extra show has been added, making three performances at An Lanntair on Saturday 24 June.
Last Saturday’s visit was postponed by low-lying cloud, Artie catching just a glimpse of the runway at Stornoway airport before the plane turned back to Glasgow.
That left children and parents disappointed, but Artie and his hosts at An Lanntair have worked flat out to get the show back on the road.
Now the new date has been set, all those who held tickets for last Saturday have been offered replacement seats and there’s limited availability for a few more to squeeze in at the extra show at 11am, or the 2pm matinee (book via lanntair.com/events/event/arties-singing-kettle/).
Artie said: “An Lanntair have worked quickly and it's great how everyone has helped reschedule my concerts.
“Loganair have excelled themselves in getting me on to suitable flights and suggested I come up the night before so that there isn't a repetition of last weekend.
“A couple of other arranged concerts on the mainland have changed their bookings to free up the new weekend.
“And I've even managed to find accommodation – at first this looked to be the stumbling block but that's been overcome too.
“Will I finally get to play my Singing Kettle show on Lewis? Looks like it. I'm jumping for joy!”
