North Harris Trust has updated tourist information at Àird Àsaig that dates back almost three decades.
The new interpretation and signs at the Àird Àsaig information point were given a major update to replace the ageing panels that had been in place for at least 26 years.
North Harris Trust commented: “The ‘bus stop’ like information box had panels from the 90s before the Scalpay bridge was even built-in 1997. Our team replaced it all with brand new updated signage, map, estate and our facilities information, and a short history of the whaling station.”
And a blast from the past...
