A “technical issue” with MV Hebrides mezzanine decks is affecting capacity on the Lochmaddy ferry route today (Sunday, June 4).

CalMac say they will issue an update later.

Last night, the ferry company said the mezzanine was out of order until further notice.

As well as reduced capacity, the ferry cannot carry motorhomes until the issue had been rectified.

Last night, CalMac confirmed that the mezzanine deck issue was resolved. However, they warned there would be continuing disruption for some customers while the decks were fully reinstated.
