Businesses in the Western Isles are being invited to a free workshop on the benefits of innovation.
The workshop takes place at Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) office in Stornoway at 10.00am on Wednesday, August 30th.
The workshop has been organised by Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) and the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar Business Gateway ahead of the launch next month of Co-Innovate, a new innovation support programme covering Northern Ireland, the Irish Border region and Western Scotland.

Donald Murray, Co-Innovate programme manager with HIE, said: “This new programme will encourage and support innovation in small to medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly the commercialisation of new ideas.
“It will help businesses identify opportunities for growth and plan how best to make the most of those opportunities.”
Mr Murray added: “We want to make sure businesses in the Western Isles are aware of the support that will be available to them through the new programme, with a view to them bringing forward their ideas.
“That’s what this workshop is all about and we look forward to welcoming people on the day.”
People interested in attending are asked to register at www.co-innovateprogramme.com or contact Donald Murray on 07584 770253 0r 01851 707300.
