Scottish and Southern Electricity Network engineers are working on two faults caused by gales today (Friday December 7th), with around 150 customers currently without power in Lewis and Harris.
A power pole has come down at Gravir in South Lochs, leaving a handful of homes without electricity. That fault was reported at 8.15am and power is expected to be restored about 5pm tonight.
In Harris, 147 customers in the Bays are still without power after overhead lines came down. Engineers are on site and power is expected to be restored by 2.30pm.
SSEN apologised for inconvenience to the customers affected.
