A ground-floor flat was left with a smashed glass door pane in the early hours of Sunday morning (December 9th).
Stornoway police were called to the address on Plantation Road soon after midnight to reports that the main entrance to the flat had its window broken.
Anyone who saw or heard anything is asked to contact Stornoway police, quoting the incident number NH2254.
“Drink no alcohol’, driver is told
A man who was found drink-driving while he was disqualified from driving at all has had extra conditions added to his terms of bail.
Police were called to Garynahine on Wednesday December 5tharound 10.30pm where a 31-year-old man had been involved in a single-vehicle road accident on the A858.
He was tested for alcohol and found to be over the limit, and it was also noted that he was disqualified from driving.
The man was charged with drink driving and driving while disqualified and was taken into custody at Stornoway police station. He appeared in court on Thursday (December 6th) and was afterwards released on bail under the standard conditions, but with the additional condition that he drinks no alcohol.
Police appeal after car damage
Police have appealed for information after a car was damaged in a hit and run accident in Stornoway on Monday last week (December 3rd).
The Mini car was parked in the area of the Cearns shop when it was damaged, apparently by another vehicle.
Anyone with any idea how the damage came about is asked to contact police on the non-emergency number, 101, quoting the incident number NH 2241.
