A yellow warning of strong winds is no longer in force for the Western Isles, after the Met Office updated warnings nationally this morning (Thursday January 9th).

But with wind speeds remaining brisk, there is still a chance of some disruption on ferries on Friday and Saturday.

CalMac says there is a heightened possibility of disruption to the 14:00 from Stornoway and 17:30 from Ullapool tomorrow, while an amended timetable is in place for services between Uig, Tarbert and Lochmaddy.

Reviews of services for Saturday will take place later on Friday afternoon.
