There was sweet music in the Comhairle’s main chamber yesterday (Tuesday July 24th) as a group of young musicians from the Republic of Ireland entertained their hosts during a tour of the building.
The students are in Stornoway attending Fèis Eilean an Fhraoich, and were invited to visit the Comhairle as part of their off-duty activities. During the Fèis itself they’re participating in tuition, learning some Gaidhlig and teaching students some Gaeilge words in return.
Fèis Eilean an Fhraoich started on Monday (July 23rd) and runs until Friday at Stornoway Primary School, with children from pre-school to teens taking part in classes and sessions.
