The Cairdean Cordal Ceann A’ Loch (South Lochs Senior Citizen Group) Christmas lunch has been given some early cheer thanks to Soval Estate, which has donated £400 raised from its fishing tickets towards the yuletide meal.

Soval Estate owner Richard Kershaw presented a cheque for the money to Jessie MacKenzie, who runs Cairdean Cordal Ceann A’ Loch, on October 20.

Speaking of the donation, Mr Kershaw said Soval was pleased to make the £5 Loch Langavat salmon fishing day tickets available each year.

“All the money raised since we started this in 1991 have been given to local good causes within the Kinloch area," Mr Kershaw said.

"We are always looking for ways to support the local community and have been very pleased to provide over £5,000 from the sale of these day tickets in the last 15 years”.

The Cairdean Cordal Ceann A’ Loch Christmas lunch will be held on December 8 at Borve House.
