Amhuinnsuidhe Fly Fishing Club will donate £400 to Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance in appreciation of the vital service it provides to island communities.
The decision was taken at the club's annual general meeting, which was held on Saturday November 18 in the County Hotel prior to its annual dinner.
The club, which promotes fly fishing across Lewis and Harris with the aim of preserving salmon and seatrout stocks, had already made donations of £200 to both Cancer Research and Chest Heart Stroke Scotland earlier in the year.
The AGM also saw dates agreed to repair and maintain access paths and habitat improvement across Harris and Uig. It is hoped this work will not only allow fishing access but be used by walkers and bird watchers.
Amhuinnsuidhe Fly Fishing Club would like to express its thanks to the County Hotel for the use of the venue and for an excellent meal.
