Due to the weather, all sailings on the Oban-Castlebay ferry route have been cancelled today (Monday, February 5).

And the forecast is also upsetting the launch of the MV Hebridean Isles combined Castlebay-Lochboisdale service tomorrow (Tuesday, February 6).

The ferry was to berth overnight in Oban but is storm-bound in Lochboisdale today. As a result, the previously advertised sailing to accommodate vessel redeployments departing Oban at 09:00 tomorrow has been cancelled.

CalMac plans to reposition MV Hebridean Isles from Lochboisdale to Castlebay on Tuesday afternoon. The timings will be confirmed after a review of the weather forecast this afternoon.

Meanwhile, the following amended timetable will be operated by MV Isle of Lewis tomorrow:

Depart Castlebay- 06:55
Arrive Oban- 11:40

Today’s 07:15 from Barra and 08:10 Eriskay sailing have been cancelled.

CalMac will review the weather and sea conditions at approximately 08:30 for the 09:15 departure.
