Police Scotland are looking for people who love their community and want to make a difference, to serve as officers and special constables with the national police force.

A virtual event on the evening of Thursday 29 February is targeted at people in the Western Isles who want to find out about rewarding career opportunities with Police Scotland.

Joining the service means getting award-winning training and development, a competitive salary and pension scheme and the chance to help keep people, communities and places across Scotland safe.

Police Scotland is now recruiting police officers nationally, with a particular focus on finding new recruits ready to work in rural policing and keep communities safe across the Highlands and Islands.

The online event gives the opportunity to ask questions of an experienced recruitment team, learning more about the police officer or police staff recruitment process, what to expect of the job, the training you will receive and the wide range of benefits available.

If you are interested in a career in policing in the Western Isles, join the information recruitment event on Thursday 29 February and learn about the operational duties of a police officer, the recruitment process and the benefits of joining Police Scotland.

The event starts at 6pm and finishes at 8pm, on MS Teams, with registration open at policescotland-spacareers
