CalMac advised last night that Oban-Lochboisdale sailings today (Tues, April 2) are liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

And there is further disruption on the horizon until at least Friday, May 10.

An amended timetable will be in place tomorrow (Wednesday, April 3) to enable the collection of a ship’s gangway from maintenance in Oban.

The amended timetable operating to Oban, not Mallaig, is as follows:

Depart Lochboisdale – 05:20
Arrive Oban – 10:50

Depart Oban – 11:35
Arrive Lochboisdale – 17:05

Meanwhile, MV Lord of the Isles is moving next week to Islay to help cover the Islay route while the MV Finlaggan is on annual overhaul.

On Saturday, April 13, the morning ferry service will operate as normal. However, the 13.55 sailing from Lochboisdale has been cancelled, as has the 17:55 departure from Mallaig.

On Sunday, April 14, there is an amended timetable to and from Oban as follows:

Depart Lochboisdale-05:15
Arrive Oban-10:50

Depart Oban-15:00
Arrive Lochboisdale- 20:35

Consequently, there will be no service between Lochboisdale and Mallaig.

From Monday, April 15 to Friday, May 10, the Lochboisdale-Oban run will be operated by the MV Isle of Mull, which will operate this timetable.
