Comann Eachdraidh Uibhist a Tuath will continue its highly popular informal heritage ceilidhs into the summer.

Normally held during the winter months, demand has prompted the historical society to launch a  monthly summer edition, beginning on Tuesday, May 21, from 2 pm to 4 pm, in Taigh Chearsabhagh.

The get-togethers are an opportunity to “chat, reminisce, tell stories, help create the community collage, bring songs and music with us and generally enjoy each others’ company.”

The North Uist Historical Society, a registered charity, has an accredited museum in Taigh Chearsabhagh, Lochmaddy.
