Two short films by pupils of Sir E Scott school in Tarbert have reached the top 10 in the People's Choice Awards in Scotland's Gaelic Film Competition, FilmG Alba.

Primary 5 – 7  children entered  A’ Coiseachd air Falbh, a film about the three local men who returned home on foot to Harris from Lewis after the sinking of the Iolaire on 1st January 1919.

One of the men involved, Alexander Campbell, was a relation to one of the children in the class.

For the Secondary 1 entry, Steigte anns na Hearadh – Leig a-Mach Mi! some of Gaeldom's biggest stars take part in I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here! in Harris, where things do not go as the producers hoped.

The primary entry was delivered and funded by Iomairt na Hearadh, Comunn na Gàidhlig.
