Befriending Project Co-ordinator

Volunteering Hebrides is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and experienced project co-ordinator to work as part of a team delivering the Befriending Lewis and Harris service across our communities.

We are looking for a self-motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and encouraging individual who enjoys working with people, has a keen eye for detail and is able to plan and prioritise effectively within a busy and sensitive environment.

The co-ordinator will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the day-to-day aspects of the service which provides community Befriending support and encourages and empowers people to engage in social and community activities.

Duties include recruiting, training and managing volunteers, carrying out risk assessments, managing Befriending matches, promoting the service, creating and maintaining strong partnerships with external agencies and accurately carrying out all related administration involved in delivering the service.

Salary £22,000 to £24,000, full-time 35 hours per week
