We are currently looking for a Operations Assistant to join our friendly team in our Stornoway office on a permanent basis working 40 hours per week offering a competitive salary.

As an Operations Assistant you will be responsible for routing vehicles whilst optimising the freight costs and maximising geographical planning, product availability & driver productivity. You will adhere to stated delivery times and customer service levels and carry out other duties as necessary to ensure the smooth day to day running of the depot.

In this position as an Operations Assistant you will process all web, telephone orders and email enquires correctly and promptly in line with company policies/standards while running  reports where necessary and as such experience in using Microsoft packages inclusive of Word, Excel, Outlook and Powerpoint is desired.

We’re looking for a person who has a great attention to detail with the ability to manage change, sometime at short notice, effectively. You should be an excellent communicator with a high degree of self-motivation and resiliency.

Experience Desired:

  • Driving licence essential.
  • HGV/ADR desirable.
  • Previous Office environment experience desirable 
  • Forklift qualification may be advantageous.
