Catch 23 Project Worker

2 x 12 hours per week posts, £10.88 per hour

12-Month Fixed Term Contract (With Possibility of Extension subject to Funding)

Western Isles Association for Mental Health (WIAMH for short) is an independent local charity, established in 1997.

WIAMH deliver Catch 23 support services for adults experiencing mental health issues.

These include Drop-in sessions, a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) Drop-in Clinic, an Alcohol and Drug Recovery Support Group, Group Walks, and thriving Art and Creative Writing Groups.  Through the various activities Catch 23 provides we aim to assist members with management of their mental illness and support them in their recovery journeys.

Catch 23 plays a vital role in our community in helping reduce social isolation, reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and provides a safe place for people to come, connect and feel accepted. Catch 23 activities support people in their recovery and help build people’s confidence and self-esteem.

Post-Pandemic, the demand for community based mental health support is growing. We are therefore looking to recruit 2 positive and motivated part-time Catch 23 Project Workers to join staff team to help meet the needs of our members.
