CalMac expects the MV Isle of Lewis to leave Greenock today (Fri, April 26) after repairs to its bow visor.

Update: MV Isle of Lewis is now leaving Greenock and is en route to Brodick, Isle of Arran.

The bow visor malfunctioned in Oban last weekend. Initial inspections identified damage to the port lower cleat bracket, and the vessel was sent south to Greenock for further repairs.

A further update regarding Saturday's sailings will be issued by CalMac at approximately 2 pm today.

At the moment, it is anticipated that due to the MV Isle of Lewis being out of position, the 07:00 Castlebay sailing will be cancelled.

The 12:45 departing Oban is expected to operate but remains liable to disruption or cancellation at short notice.

Meanwhile, the stand-in vessel MV Isle of Mull will operate a combined timetable today as follows:

Depart Castlebay – 06:05
Arrive Oban – 11:40

Depart Oban – 12:40
Arrive Castlebay – 18:15
