This year’s two-day Outer Hebrides Pairs Championship 2024 at Askernish Golf Club will be decided on the 203rd birthday of course architect Old Tom Morris.

The championship tees off on Saturday, June 15, with the final day of play appropriately landing on Sunday, June 16, the anniversary of Old Tom Morris’ birth in 1821.

Next month’s championship format is a non-qualifying Mixed Betterball Stableford on the first day and a combined pairs Stableford score on Sunday, June 16.

It is an open competition, and members and visitors are welcome to enter a team that can be all-male, all-female, or mixed.

The cost is £40 per player for members and £60 per player for visitors.

Tee time can be booked at askernishgolfclub.com/open-competitions.

Old Tom Morris, who masterminded the course in South Uist, is a significant figure in golfing history, and golf enthusiasts worldwide celebrate his contributions to the sport to this day.
