After a one year hiatus, Morven Gallery in Barvas, Lewis, returns for the islands' 2017 summer season, opening its doors again on Saturday April 15th.

Morven owners, Janis and Rob Scott, are delighted to see the gallery space return to life with the opening exhibition featuring the works of a huge variety of artists, including Simon Rivett, Ruth Odell, Gareth Watson, Pam Carter, Vega, Margaret Stevenson, Jonathan Smith, Kenneth Burns, Gill Thompson, David Humphreys, Kirsty Lymburn, Effie Galletly, Marianthi Lainas, and David Wilson.

“There were a number of things happening last year that meant we couldn't always commit to being here, so we weren't able to open,” said Janis.

“In a way it's was a good thing though because we're refreshed and recharged and more enthusiastic again.”

Morven Gallery opening takes place on Saturday, April 15th, from 2pm-4pm, and all are welcome to join for a glass of wine, with the gallery cafe also open for coffee and cakes.
